Lynn's Comments: Yup...this was fun—speaking in an arrogant, sophisticated encyclopedic jargon that even we had trouble understanding. These days, I just wait for "Question Period" in the House of Commons.

Lynn's Comments: At the age of 72, I tried skipping. I figured it was something one never forgets how to do. I took the rope and...nothing! I couldn't do one proper jump. It was as if I'd never learned, and with all honesty...I did what April is doing in this panel. I started by stepping over the rope!

Lynn's Comments: At the time I was doing these strips, I had to pay attention to the age of the new puppy and to show his growth—week by week. Without a new puppy to measure, I had to guess...and I managed to do OK, but at the time it was hard to find research material!

Lynn's Comments: There is some satisfaction in seeing my daughter doing and saying these exact same things; yet another joy of having grandchildren.

Lynn's Comments: My husband was a do-it-your-selfer, so we always had a good supply of tools around the house. One day I found my daughter undoing all the screws she could find. The following day, I caught her trying to take the license plate off the car. It was then that I realized she was going to be a handy person, too. We just had to wait until she was old enough to figure out how to put things together as well as take them apart!

Lynn's Comments: When I was Gordon's age, I needed a bit of financial help but didn't have the courage to ask for it. Just one small loan, just some confidence-building support and I'd have been able to keep my small advertising business going. In this series, I wanted to do for Gordon what I wished someone had done for me.
